Results Up Again
Grove students have continued the steady improvement in GCSE results seen in recent years. Of the 180 students who took GCSE and other exams in the Summer, 53.3% achieved five or more A*-C grades. This exceeded our County target and is a slight increase on the 52% achieved last year. The percentage of students achieving five or more passes at any level also rose to 89%.
At this stage these results are provisional as there may be some changes due to us awaiting results from colleges, additional checks, re-marks etc.
Once again, we saw a clear group of students with outstanding results at the highest level: nearly a quarter of the year achieved ten or more Grade A* - C passes.
Twelve students each achieved 12 or more higher grade passes with six or more As or A*s, and Hayley Norman and Chloe Norman recorded outstanding results with the equivalent of 19 GCSE Grade C passes each, including some at A* and A.
The flexibility and diversity of Grove’s curriculum again allowed students to gain qualifications not only in GCSEs but also in Key Skills and a wide range of vocational options including NVQ.

Results in Grove College were also pleasing with a 4% rise in the A level passrate in the higher grades of A, B and C. Virtually all students achieved the grades they needed to secure places at their first-choice Universities.
Jane Radbourne warmly congratulated all students and staff for their hard work and dedication and committed the school to maintaining the upward trend in standards.
