Grove College facilities
The main rooms of Grove House – the College base
- are used for lectures, lessons and tutorials, but the
character of each has been retained along with much of
the original style of decoration. The old servants' accommodation
has been converted for social and study use. Upstairs,
an extensive programme of refurbishment has taken place
with rooms being set up as comfortable quiet study areas
with a fully networked ICT suite giving students access
to the Internet, the school intranet and all school software.
An extensive library of information on Higher Education
courses is available in Grove House.
Downstairs, a social area gives students a space in which
to meet friends and relax. This includes a coffee bar where
a good range of snacks and drinks is available at both
morning break and lunchtime: students can however also
use the extensive catering service anywhere in the school
for snacks and full meals from fast-food to salads and
other vegetarian choices.
As well as using Grove House for lessons and tutorials,
students use many specialist facilities across the campus
in areas such as science, technology, sports and languages.
The whole campus is a well-maintained, pleasant environment
with all the resources necessary to support College courses.
The school's excellent Library and Resource Centre is available
to College students at all times for private study and
has a wide range of reference books and computers giving
networked access to the Internet and the school’s
Intranet.
