After months of building work and construction the New canopy area has opened within the school grounds. Work started on the new covered seating area in October Half Term and was recently fi
nished. The canopy was installed at the requests of students who wanted an outdoor 
area to socialise and eat away from the main hall (currently used as the main eating area within school). Being adjacent to the bistro gives students the opportunity to purchase snacks, drinks or a meal and eat al fresco ! The 17m by 12m polycarbonate structure is also being used as a general meeting place for students who no longer have to brave the elements when outside. The new wooden tables and benches provide a place for students to sit and relax during break and lunchtime. The new canopy is proving very popular (especially in the recent colder weather) and students are using it on a regular basis.
