Grove scoops awards for ground transformation.

If you have visited the school during the last six months you will have noticed the grounds to the front entrance have undergone a transformation, our site team have been working incredibly hard to improve the surroundings for staff, students and visitors.  Our students have also been busy constructing wooden planters during their construction lessons.  The hard work has not gone unnoticed as our site team were invited along to the annual Market Drayton in Bloom awards evening to collect two awards:

First place for Best Large Business.

Silver Salver presented by the Drayton Civic Society for the Best Public Building.

Joint second place for the Best School Category.

Congratulations to the team on a very deserving win.

The silver salver is awarded to the public building, premises or specific area within the town which in the opinion of those judging, provides the greatest visual impact and successfully promotes the best in the town.  Judges for the Drayton Civic Society noted:

"This year has seen a complete transformation and a modern entrance skillfully created using many plants and materials already existing on the site.  A new easy maintenance gravel bed, fine lawn areas, low box hedging and mature trees surrounded with hefty rock features provide a superb appearance and in addition hanging baskets add even more colour to the scene.  This is now a prominent feature of the school that we believe will further enhance its good reputation and earn the respect of all students."
