Grove college Presentation Evening

The presentation of awards and certificates to last summer’s leavers took place recently.

Students were awarded with their hard-earned A level certificates, prizes recognising outstanding achievement in individual subjects and in the examinations overall and service to the College and community.

 

Joanna Greetham received the award for services to Grove College, Alice Janes for services to the community. The best overall A level results were recognised by presentations to Helen Corfield, Loralei Haylock and Laura Gaweda, all of whom passed all their a levels at Grade A.

Traditionally the guest speaker at College Presentation evenings is a past student, and this year we welcomed back James Lamplugh who left Grove in 1994. Congratulating the students on their successes, he talked about his life since leaving – a gap year, degree and now a successful career as a national account manager.

As always, students, parents and staff enjoyed a very pleasant relaxed evening, sharing their experiences since they left and catching up with old friends.
