Grove Primary Induction Programme

Primary School Visits

Mrs Bedford (Assistant Head) will visit students in Year 6 who are coming to Grove in their Primary Schools this month to introduce herself and to talk through the induction programme and any issues arising.

Thursday 2nd July 7.00 p.m.

Year 6 students and their parent/carers are invited to join us here at Grove on Thursday 2nd July at 7.00 p.m. for our Information Evening.  Parents and children will have the opportunity on this occasion to meet their new tutor as well as to meet Heads of House and find out information about the day to day running of the school.

Monday 6th July

We would like to invite your child to spend the day at Grove.  This will be an opportunity for Year 6 children to meet other members of their tutor group and to spend a typical day at secondary school.

Children should aim to arrive at school at 8.40 a.m. when they should go to the main hall where they will be greeted by Heads of House.  Children who will normally be travelling to school by coach will be able to use the coach that day without a bus pass and will not be expected to pay a fare.  The coaches will have plenty of spare seats since our Years 10, 11 and 13 students will not be in school at this time.

Children should wear what they normally wear for school and will need to bring money for a school lunch (approx £2) unless they choose to bring a packed lunch from home.  Children entitled to free school meals will be provided for.

The day will end at 3.00 p.m.  Again, children needing to do so will be entitled to travel on school coaches.
