School Council visit Parliament
The Year 11 students who are members of the School Council visited Westminster on Tusday March 28th as guests of M.P. for North Shropshire, Owen Paterson.

The School Council plays an important role in the school and meets with Richard arrowsmith and senior members of staff each half term. They are consulted on proposed changes and can bring agenda items to the meeting from and students in the school. They also act as hosts when we have visitors to Grove and play a part in the interview process for new staff.

The group was welcomed at the Houses of Parliament by Mr Paterson before being taken on a guided tour behind the scenes at Westminster. After a meeting with their M.P., the students then went to the Strangers' Gallery to watch proceeding in the House of Commons.
They all thoroughly enjoyed the visit, although they were heard to comment that Grove School Council meetings are rather more interesting than the House of Commons!
