Shropshire Music Service
All year 7 students were treated to some great live music at the start of this term in the main hall from a team of talented musicians from Shropshire Music Service.
The aim of the Music Service is to provide, develop and support the highest quality of music education in Shropshire.
The live performance proved to be great fun and as you can see from some of the student comments it has definitely stimulated an interest in music!
" The Shropshire Orchestra was a great hit with the students of year 7. They played songs that we knew including James Bond, the Simpsons theme and Way to Amarillo. They also played twinkle, twinkle but in a more lively way. They showed us the different types of musical Instruments, like percussion, brass and more. This was a very good experience for everyone and influenced some people to play an instrument."
“Really enjoyable, especially the trumpets.”
“I liked how they made the tunes up with their instruments. I thought it was really good how they told us how they used them.”
“Really cool, I liked Caroline playing the electric violin and I liked her as well!”
“I thought the drumming was excellent because I play drums and I want to be good at it. Brilliant.”
