Art Collages
In collaboration with Meres and Mosses Housing Association the school has run an art project involving yr 7 students. Sheila Standley the Resident Involvement Officer approached the school wanting to establish closer links with the community and during talks with the art coordinator, Mrs Clarke, it was suggested that students make collages “Looking at and Celebrating Market Drayton”. Not only would the winning entries be framed and displayed in their offices but the six winners would each receive a Canon Power Shot A470 camera. The project ran from January and culminated in a presentation in the library this week. Sheila Standley and Gordon Hodgkiss from Meres and Mosses presented the cameras to the excited winners with the runners up receiving large Easter eggs. All students in the three art classes involved received a crème eggs as well!
