Bessie Reaches 100!

Bessie Sweeting will be celebrating her 100th birthday on the 19th July . She live in Hillcrest Nursing Home near Minsterley. One of Bessie’s friends Vaunda said ‘Bessie is a wonderful person even though she has only got one leg but she is still mobile’. She also said she could sit and listen to Bessie for hours.
Mrs. Sweeting remembers making butter in her childhood and would like to celebrate her birthday with some home made bread, butter and damson jam. The nursing home is searching for a butter churn, so they can make some home made butter specially for the party.
Here at Grove School we hope to raise funds to go towards helping Bessie have a wonderful party and to make her dreams come true.
