Progress Review Day and Careers
Convention
On
Thursday 24th February we held our annual Progress Review
Day and Careers Convention. This is a special opportunity
for every student to look at their progress and targets
with their tutor in a one-to-one meeting. We have now done
this for the last five years and the day is now well established.
A high percentage of parents once again attended and our
feedback tells us that this day is appreciated as a real
chance to consider how school work is progressing, give
praise where it is due and discuss problems.
At the same time a very successful Careers
Convention was held with over 30 exhibitors attending.
This year there was a particular emphasis on the many food-related
opportunities in the Market Drayton area. All students
were encouraged to look round and make the most of the
information available. We were pleasd to welcome Nick Owen
and Suzanne Virdee from BBC Midlands Today as our guests
at the event.
