Language Masterclass

 

 

In November 67 Year 11 students and staff from 10 schools across Shropshire, Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Telford attended a Languages Masterclass organised by Grove School.  Students attended morning sessions in French, German and Spanish to enhance and refine their linguistic skills.  Conversation sessions were run by Grove staff and language assistants from France and the afternoon sessions gave students the opportunity to experience "taster sessions" in Chinese and Punjabi as well as listen to a talk informing students of the value of further language study.  Feedback on the day was very positive.  One student concluded "overall very good and I got some useful stuff" and teachers comented that the conference provided "very interesting Punjabi and Chinese 'taster' sessions - something I've never tried before" and that it was a "very informative day".
