Grove PTA
(Practical Technological Advancement!)
The problem facing the Design Technology Department at Grove School was how to acquire a state-of-art laser cutter. If students of all ages were to advance and develop skills to expand the curriculum then the technology was needed.
Headteacher, Jane Radbourne, had to balance the needs of the many departments and turned to the school’s PTA for help. They “beamed in” on the task of raising £3,500! Through a series of events, like the Race Night, they generated funds and with “laser like precision “ reached the £3,500 target.
The new technology is now installed and being enthusiastically explored by students and staff alike. We would like to thank all the members of the PTA for their continual support of our students though their fundraising activities.

The next PTA event will be the "Junk to Funk" fashion show on Friday 23rd April.
The format of the event will be in two parts:-
- "From Junk to Funk" which is open to everyone to design an outfit from used clothes.
- Showcasing prom dresses for our year 11 students for their up and coming prom night.
We are hoping to have a famous fashion guru in attendance - watch this place for further details!
