New Faces
The new school year at Grove has started on a bright and optimistic note. The A level passrate of 98% was the best ever and we met our target of 50% of Year 11 students achieving five or more Grades A* - C at GCSE. Jane Radbourne has succeeded Richard Arrowsmith as Head, with Ceri Bedford and Simon Stoneley joining the school's new Leadership Group.
Mrs Bedford's main responsibilities are Grove International - the Language College - and links with our partner Primary Schools, whilst Mr Stoneley has expanded his existing role of Vocational Director to become Director of Studies with an overview of the whole curriculum and academic progress.
We also have welcomed an unusually large number of new faces to the teaching staff. They are:

Ms Tina Bridges - English
Miss Vicky Firth - Maths
Mrs Gill Grainger - Food Technology
Mr Symon Leech - ICT and Science
Mr James Maloney - Maths
Miss Dawn Rafferty - Languages
Mr Adam Richards - Science
Miss Gita Stubley - Head of Geography
Miss Geraldine Walton-Smith - Languages
Mr David Wheeler - Technology
We are delighted to have recruited to have recruited these new members of staff: they are all specialists in the subjects they are teaching and the achool is fully staffed.
