Grove Campus

Teaching for seventeen years before having my children has given me a strong sense of commitment to schools and education in general and the last four years as a Governor at Grove School (and earlier at Hinstock School)  has reinforced this feeling.  As a Governor, I have had experience on a variety of committees including curriculum and personnel and have been involved in the appointment of staff.  Attending a wide range of activities and school occasions has been a real privilege  and has highlighted the sense of the total school team, striving to improve the experiences and education of all our young people.  I am currently vice-chair of the Governing Body.

I am a civil servant and parent of Rhys who is in Year 8.  I was born in Market Drayton and attended the Grove myself, which has helped me develop a keen interest in the school’s progress.

My family and I moved to Essex with my work some five years ago.  During my time in Essex I became a parent governor at my children’s primary school, working on the finance and premises committees and taking on the role of responsible officer for the governing body.

Having now returned to work near Market Drayton I am keen to become involved with the school in the governor role.  I am also a committee member of Market Drayton A.O.D.S. and an active member of the Victoria bowling club.
