Forthcoming Events

We are looking forward to a busy time before we break for the Summer holiday.
The external exam season is almost over and students who have been working so hard in recent weeks can look forward to a well-earned break until the results come in August.
You will have seen the booklet describing the wide range of activities available during our Activities Week, which is the last week of term. There are four days of activities, with Friday 21st July being a normal school day (but non-uniform) to finish off the school year. Please note that attencance during Activities Week is not optional - registers will still be taken.
The week beginning June 26th will see Year 9 students undertaking a special challenge with activities ranging over many subjects. It promises to be exciting, but they will have to wait to find out exactly what they have to do!
Also before the end of term, on July 11th, 12 and 13th, we will be welcoming groups of Year 5 students from our partner primary schools to Grove for a first taster of what life is like in a secondary school. They will be able to sample a selection of lessons in subjects such as ICT, PE, Design Technology and Languages, as well as enjoying a Grove Catering meal!
Monday July 10th is our Move-up Day, when all the students who will be joining us in September will be able to meet other students who will in classes with them, and their Heads of House and Tutors. We have planned a full day of activities to help them get to know each other. At 7.00 p.m on July 6th we have an evening for all parents of Year 6 students starting here in September - their chance to meet tutors and other staff and ask questions.
From July 10th onwards, all Year 10 students will have two weeks of work experience will local businesses - a very important time when they can experience and start to understand what life in the real world of work is like.
Add to that the Sports Day on July 14th and a mountain of preparation for next year, and you can see we have a more than busy time!
