Year 9 Investigation
Who killed Brian Cartwright?
Who is the man with the dodgy Eastern European accent?
Are twins identical if one has lost her appendix?
What is a gym membership card doing in a swimming pool filter?
Who is KB?
This week Year 9 students set out to answer these questions and many more in the annual Year 9 Investigation.
Over six periods on Monday and Tuesday, students used forensic evidence, virtual crime scenes and recordings to piece together the heinous crimes that had taken place in the South Shropshire village of Church Hopton. They then presented their findings to their respective House and a winner from each went forward to Friday’s Grand Final.

This was won by South House – Stacey Green, Emily Fulcher, Grant Freail, Beth Reardon & Kyle Edwards – who explained the events as they understood them to the judging panel of Ms Radbourne, Mrs Thomas and Mr Munn, and the rest of Year 9.
The winning team shown with Mr McStay, Head of South House left and Mr S Harrison, Event Organiser.
Our special thanks to Mr Harrison who, once again, has put together this exciting Investigation.
