The History Department

The members of the history teaching staff are Miss S Jones, who is Subject Leader, Mr S Charnley, Mrs J Magee, who also teaches music and Mrs C Bedford, who is an Assistant Head and also teaches Languages.

All students study History throughout Years 7 to 9.  GCSE History is a popular option in Years 10 and 11.  The syllabus currently in use is the Schools History Project and students specifically study the American West, The History of Medicine and Grove House.

Advanced level History is also available as an option in Grove College.

Year 10 students have the  opportunity to visit the Shugborough Estate in Staffordshire.
