Year 8 Challenge

The Year 8 Challenge was launched at the beginning of last term through a variety of practical group activities with students working in House Teams. These challenges are further developed through subject lessons over a period of six weeks. Teaching focuses on the development of Personal, Learning and Thinking skills in preparation for the Final Challenge day.  The skills focus is related to students learning to be: effective participators; creative thinkers; reflective learners; independent enquirers; team workers and self managers. Work is assessed throughout the period of the Challenge and the students’ individual points contribute towards their House Team total.  Events organised for the Final Challenge Day will test a variety of different skills through House Team activities.

A special Challenge assembly was held to announce the winners who had collected the most points individually and also the coveted Challenge Trophy !

We are pleased to announce the winner is:

South House!
